Vacuum Brazed Diamond File
A diamond file is a specialized tool used for the precise shaping, smoothing, or cutting of very hard materials. Unlike traditional metal files, which have teeth cut into the surface, a diamond file is typically made of a metal body with industrial diamonds embedded in it. These diamonds provide an extremely hard and durable abrasive surface.
Diamond files come in various shapes and sizes, including flat, round, half-round, triangular, and more, to accommodate different applications and workpiece geometries. They are commonly used in industries such as jewelry making, where they can be used to shape precious metals and gemstones, as well as in engineering and manufacturing, where they might be needed to work on materials like ceramics, glass, or hardened steel.
Due to their high cost and the precision they offer, diamond files are generally used when other types of files would not provide sufficient results or would wear out too quickly. They require careful handling and maintenance to ensure they remain effective over time.
